All business rules the AI must respect • Last updated: Feb 7, 2026
Physical limits that cannot be exceeded. The furnace can only melt 60 tons of glass per day. All production lines pull glass from this furnace.
• Line 2: 15 tons/day
• Line 3: 18 tons/day
• Line 4: 10 tons/day
• Total: 55 tons (92% capacity) ✓
Not every product can be made on every line. Each product has a list of VALID machines based on technical capabilities and tooling requirements.

Once production of a product starts, it must continue for a minimum number of days. Switching too frequently wastes time on changeovers.
• PROD-B family: 7 days minimum
• PROD-C family: 10 days minimum (complex setup)
• PROD-D family: 3 days minimum (flexible)
Switching from Product A to Product B takes time. The time depends on how different the products are. The matrix is NOT symmetric — A→B ≠ B→A.
| FROM↓ TO→ | A | B | C | D |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | 0 | 45 | 120 | 180 |
| B | 60 | 0 | 30 | 90 |
| C | 150 | 45 | 0 | 60 |
| D | 200 | 100 | 75 | 0 |
Not all customers are equal. Some orders MUST be on time (VIP), others have flexibility. This affects scheduling priority and penalty calculations.
The next 3 days are "frozen" — the AI cannot change them. Materials are already prepared, workers are assigned, and shop floor is committed.
